Native Americans in Roman Era
Orient in Egyptian Era:
ATTENTION: Only create this Kingdom if Egyptian vacation rule 8 has occurred. There will be similar opportunities to create this kingdom if it doesn't happen during that era.
Basics: Now that your Egyptian bride has married an Oriental man, they need somewhere to live! Time to create a small kingdom.
For the sake of creating your Oriental Kingdom the Egyptian bride will be referred to as the starting player.
When speaking of sims in other households, sims in other nations don't count. They are completely separate.
Oriental women do not have jobs, even if they become widows.
Oriental girls do not go to school regardless of age or class.
All may have burglar and fire alarms.
Creating the Orient
1) Create a subhood, preferably custom shopping district, with the map of your choice to be the Orient. Use default seasons.
2) Use Oriental/Historical when creating your Orient. If you can't find anything appropriate, they can't have that item. (With cc they can have pretty much anything.)
3) Play your Orient until it lines up with the round you are on in Egypt. Like if they married with 2 days left in 3rd season, play the Orient until they reach that point too. You may do this in 1 round or several. Then play as usual with the Orient in the rotation.
4) Other than your starting players (Roman bride and her groom) you will create the Orient in CAS. This will be 4-5 households, 1 per class. Details of creating them and rules regarding them are below.
What Class Are My Starting Players?
If your starting player fits more than 1 class, you may pick which class to place them.
If your starting player is...
Egyptian royalty: Emperor and Empress
Noble: Shi
Craftsman: Gong
Farmer: Nong
Slave: Shang
Plantsim: Nong
Witch: Shi or Gong
5) All Orientals made in CAS have 0 to 8 playful.
Emperor’s family:
1) IF STARTING PLAYER use family funds to give couple household amount of home bride came from.
Roll 6 times for Emperor's secondary aspiration.
Then create 2 concubines in CAS, rolling 5 times for aspiration and add to Emperor's household. May be same last name as Emperor or different last names.
1A) If not starting player, create in CAS an Emperor and 3 concubines, don't set any as married. Roll 5 times for aspirations.
Give Emperor $150,000 bonus.
Roll 6 times for secondary aspirations.
May change concubines last names or keep same last name as Emperor.
2) Emperor does not have to marry, but if he does may only marry one woman. May remarry if becomes a widower. Wife may be concubine, Royalty, Patrician, Shi, or any Takemizu native. Concubines may be from the same sources but he does not propose marriage to concubine, he either asks to move in or use BFF arranged marriage rule listed in Roman Rules. Marriages can be arranged through BFF rules too. Emperor always has at least 1 concubine, at least 2 if unmarried. There is no limit to the # of concubines he may have. Once married he may not have romantic interactions with a woman who is not his wife or concubine...unless he sees a prostitute. Takemizu natives may become concubine in the same way Romans may gain slaves. He must take a vacation and be on the same lot as the native at least once, but does not need to greet.
2B) Emperor does not have to propose to concubine to marry her. (arranged marriage arch) He may choose to marry based on possibility of pregnancy, birth of a child, most attracted to, etc. Don't have to wait if that want comes up for him.
3) Emperor is required to woohoo with his wife at least once. (Remember, there is no birth control.) Romantic interactions with concubines is optional. Must always have possibility of pregnancy when woohooing. See rules below for who to move out. Empress and concubines do not cheat.
4) Hierarchy in Emperor's Family - Emperor is highest
4A) Ladies
Wife is Empress and higher than all concubines, their children, and her daughters
First concubine to bear a son is highest concubine and higher than other concubines children and her own daughters
Other concubines to bear sons come next in order that son is born, her status comes from bearing sons
Then concubines who bear daughters
Then concubines who are pregnant
Then concubines who might be pregnant (if you have silent pregnancy, an inteen flavorpak)
Remaining concubines are in order of Emperor's favor: first loves, then crushes, then long term relationship, then short term, then those he is furious with, last enemies.
4B) Princes and Princesses
Empresses children are highest among the children and higher than any concubines, princes higher. If you wish you may give them the titles of High Prince and High Princess with their name to keep them straight.
Firstborn concubine prince is next.
Firstborn concubine princes younger brothers are next.
Then come other concubine princes in the same way.
Then are younger sisters of first concubine. (Firstborn prince's mom.)
Then princesses of second concubine, then third, etc.
Even the youngest princess of the least favored concubine is higher than any non-royal Oriental.
4C) Historical Note: At one time in history the Emperor was to "woohoo" as many times per day with as many of his wives and concubines as possible. People kept track of it.
4D) Note that hierarchy among his concubines and children can change.
4E) Heir
The eldest prince of his wife is heir.
If he does not have a wife than eldest prince is heir. This status changes if Emperor marries and Empress has a son.
5) Once he becomes teen, adult if no inteen, prince may move out. Adjust his funds to Emperor's household funds -$50,000. If you wish you may adjust this up or down based on his status compared to other princes.
5A) If the Emperor dies the heir and his family move into palace.
Concubines that are still able to become pregnant become prince's concubines, except his mother. His mother becomes High Empress, a status below him but above his own wife.
When a new Emperor comes into power than concubines too old to become pregnant remain in the household they are in so long as there is room. They are no longer concubines. They are still royal, but are lower than all other royalty. If they must move out they move in with other once-concubines. If no one to move in with they only have maxi given funds. ($20,000 if alone, may be more if more than one moving out at once.) Their children do not lose prince and princess titles and may take them in if there is room in their household.
5B) Only the Emperor may have concubines! Even princes may not have them. They may marry.
6) Dowries
All princesses get a dowry when they become a teen. (Adult if no inteen.) Place the dowry in her inventory. Any combination of items and checks may be used for dowry. You may choose dowry amount, either all the same or give princesses with higher status better dowries. Dowry cannot be lower than $5,000.
6A) May use allowable aspiration reward instead, see below. Aspiration point cost is value, like Elixir of Life costs 30,580 points=$30,580. If dowry is under $30,580, must be highest aspiration reward. (Elixir of life if earned, next highest if not earned.) That way the aspiration dowry "costs" more if the dowry is low.
6B) Allowable career reward may be used in place of dowry. 1 Career reward in place of entire dowry regardless of dowry amount.
7) Heir and Empress's children have the same choices for marriage as Emperor.
7A) Non heirs of concubines may marry anyone of any class in Rome or Orient except prostitute's children. May also marry any Takemizu Village native.
7B) If non-heir marries and then becomes heir he keeps same wife regardless of her status before marriage.
8) If using nursing mod, all nursing concubines may nurse all princes and princesses, including Empress's children. Empress only nurses her own children.
9) May hire a maid, gardener, butler, exterminator. May have fire and burglar alarms. May call all services. Grocery rule still applies, only purchase to get fridge out of negative. Optional: Royal may order groceries.
10) May have bookcase and scroll related items. (Other recreational stuff too if oriental/historic)
10A) May have chariots or other appropriate vehicles.
11) Royals do not own businesses.
12) Emperor may have Politics career.
13) Emperor (and married princes) may stop having kids after giving birth to two boys. Keep in mind, though, they could get accidently murdered if another Sim assaults them on free-will. Also keep in mind that there is no birth control. Stop woohooing or risk more kids.
14) Princes must go to school until they become adults. Princes may take jobs, including as a teen. The heir may take a job in Politics. Non-heir sons of Empress may take a job in Politics or Slacker. Non-heir concubine princes may have any of the following jobs: Politics, Slacker, Athletic, Law Enforcement, Military, Artist, Natural Science, Paranormal, Law, Music, Journalism, Intelligence, Oceanography.
15) May take Far East vacations only. See vacations section below.
16) Princesses do not move out unless marrying.
17) Possibility of pregnancy must exist...so WHO MOVES OUT to allow for that? Pick first from this list that applies.
Lowest status prince age teen or older.
Lowest status concubine and all her children. (She is still his concubine and her children are still princes and princesses.)
17A) If current household is only Emperor, Empress and her children age teen and younger, no one moves out.
18) Playing concubines that have moved out. (Does not apply to once-concubines, see rule 5A.)
If there is another concubine who has room to a max of 7 total sims in household, she moves in with no bonus.
If she has a prince, give bonus of $150,000. If no prince but has princess, $100,000. No children $50,000.
If Emperor walks by is greeted and make him selectable. Fulfill as many of his wants as possible. If he woohoos with concubines must be possible to have a baby. (Move sims out if necessary, like above.) If you wish you may require that he woohoos with each concubine when he visits.
Concubines may invite over Emperor and other royalty. May ask Emperor on date. May not propose to Emperor, but you may make him selectable and propose.
If concubine marries Emperor must move her and her children to palace.
19) Marrying off concubines, optional.
May let concubine marry Orient of any other class that is not son of prostitute. This cannot be one Emperor loves, has a crush on, Emperor has 3 lightning bolts for, or mother of heir. Cannot do this if that leaves him with less than 2 concubines or 1 wife and no concubines.
This can only happen if arranged marriage. (BFF rules, between Emperor and groom or relative arranging marriage for groom.)
If this happens concubine is no longer royalty and is wife with same class as her husband. Any princes and princesses keep their status and may either go with her or remain in palace or with another concubine. Any future children she has have same class as her husband.

10) Must be a chance of pregnancy. If lot is too full, remove one sim. Pick first from this list possible:
a) Oldest male on lot - He is now shang. If teen or older he may marry and move to own place. Otherwise he moves in with his father. He is still a shang. Is treated like a servant in his father's household. (If both parents die with no children, or all daughters are married, becomes heir and of the same class as father.) (Not living as servant in another household.) If he is a baby can't leave unless there is a nursing mother on the lot he's moving to.
