Native Americans:
Note: To be played at the same time as the Egypt era.
Basics: In the dark ages the Vikings will visit the Native Americans. Time to create them so there will be something to visit!
Create a new subhood to be your America. Much later a Hawaii and Alaska will be created as separate subhoods. I haven't found a completely excellent map for this. Look for something that has ocean on the left and right sides of the map, don't worry about north and south.
When speaking of sims in other households, only Native American sims count. Africans and Native Americans do not have contact with any country but their own. Consider them to be isolated from the rest of the world and developing separately.
Note: Each country is played by a different set of rules and will be on separate pages.
Seasons: For once your sims get all 4 seasons! Leave them as is.
NO sims move to America at this time. (They will in future eras.)
Create the following in CAS:
2 Native American couples to live in the same household. (Like they're a tribe.) May create separately or change one couple's last name after you move them in and begin playing them. Use skin 3, or if using geneticized skins any skins that look Native American. I like to give each family a different Native American tribe for a last name. That is optional.
For planning purposes, there will eventually be 3 additional Native American couples added in future eras for genetic variety.
1) Must live in a large, wooded lot. Ok to use lot you downloaded, as long as it seems like a place where native Americans would have lived.
1a) Both couples begin in same lot but may move out when needed so they may keep having babies.
1b) Place first lot in north east corner.
2) Sleep in tents, hammocks, or teepees (small, octagonal rooms), or lodging that looks native American.
3) Must have at least two kids.
4) No school.
5) Houses should be clumped around other Native Americans, forming Tribes.
5a) When placing additional lots may choose to place other families far away, but place families with the same last name near each other.
6) Men may be Hunters, Gatherers or Crafters.
Women may be Gatherers or Crafters. May be Hunters if no teen or older male on lot.
Use same career rules for these careers as Africans.
7 and 8) Does not apply during this era.
9) Starting bonus of $10,000 is family-funded ONLY to purchase Native-themed furniture and landscaping. If wanting to use a specific lot you downloaded and it costs more, give additional bonus in units of $50,000 instead.
10) No vacations
